1. About us

Art Dastak is an online marketplace for authentic Pakistani handmade art, jewellery, paintings, handicrafts, fabrics, home décor, and gift items. We work with artisans and trusted makers across Pakistan to bring curated pieces to customers nationwide and abroad.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to shop on our site. By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Products and handmade nature

Many items on Art Dastak are handmade or hand-finished. Slight variations in colour, texture, size, pattern, or finish are natural and part of the character of artisan work — they are not defects. Product photos are representative; we strive to show colours accurately but cannot guarantee an exact match on every screen.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or discontinue products without notice. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you and offer a refund or suitable alternative.

4. Pricing and payment

• All prices are listed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless stated otherwise.
• Prices include applicable product costs; shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on delivery method and order value. Free shipping may apply above the threshold shown on our site.
• We accept payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include cash on delivery (COD), online payment via Safepay (JazzCash, Easypaisa, debit/credit cards), and bank transfer. Availability may vary.
• For wallet or bank transfer orders, payment must be completed as instructed. We may cancel unpaid orders after a reasonable period.
• Coupon codes and promotions are subject to their stated terms and cannot be combined unless explicitly allowed.

5. Orders and confirmation

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email, WhatsApp, or through your order status page. We may verify details (address, phone number, payment) before dispatching, especially for high-value or COD orders.

6. Shipping and delivery

• We deliver across Pakistan using trusted courier partners. Delivery times are estimates and may vary by city, weather, holidays, or carrier delays.
• Standard, express, and Karachi same-day options (where available) are shown at checkout.
• You are responsible for providing a correct delivery address and reachable phone number. Failed delivery attempts due to incorrect details may incur re-shipping charges.
• Risk of loss passes to you once the order is handed to the courier, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
• Gift wrapping and gift messages are offered as optional services. We pack items with care but are not liable for minor transit wear on outer packaging.

7. Returns, exchanges, and refunds

Because many products are unique handmade pieces, returns are handled case by case:

• Damaged or wrong item — contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We will arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund where appropriate.
• Change of mind — unused items in original condition may be eligible for exchange or return within 7 days for selected categories. Custom, commissioned, personalised, or sale items may not be returnable unless faulty.
• Return shipping costs may be borne by the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
• Refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible. COD refunds may be issued via bank transfer or wallet.

8. Custom commissions

Custom and commissioned pieces are made to your brief. A deposit may be required before work begins. Timelines and pricing are agreed in writing. Commissioned items are non-refundable once production has started, except for material defects or failure to deliver as agreed. See our commission page to submit a request.

9. Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree not to misuse the website, post false reviews, attempt unauthorised access, scrape content, or use the site for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

All website content — including logos, text, photography, and design — is owned by Art Dastak or used with permission. Product designs remain the property of their respective makers. You may not copy, reproduce, or resell our content or products for commercial purposes without written consent.

11. Reviews

By submitting a review, you grant Art Dastak a non-exclusive licence to display and use your review on our website and marketing channels. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine purchase experience. We may remove content that is abusive, misleading, or off-topic.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Art Dastak is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Orders placed before changes take effect remain subject to the Terms in force at the time of purchase.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pakistan, unless mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.
